Africa Study Centre provides independent policy research, analysis, and advisory that is not driven by self-serving political, governmental, or advocacy interests. We aim to be an informed and independent voice in policy debates by identifying and evaluating key issues and programmes, and by helping to transform emerging challenges and ideas into policy directions for the larger good.

Nurturing talent for Africas future
One of our central concerns is the intellectual brain drain that weakens African societies and slows growth despite the talent that exists on the continent. We do not want to lose future intellectuals, doctors, engineers, artists, thinkers, philosophers, and craftsmen to other regions.
Africa Study Centre offers fellowships, grants, and scholarships to people of merit and works to establish strong relationships with academic institutions across Africa. Through these efforts, we aim to nurture raw and budding talent and keep it rooted in and connected to the continent.

Honouring Africas wisdom and communities
Beyond formal research and policy work, we organise meaningful events, lectures, and symposiums that celebrate tribal, spiritual, and ancient wisdom from across Africa. These spaces recognise that knowledge is carried not only in institutions and documents, but in stories, traditions, and practices.
